Today marks the TWO WEEK mark to the biggest adventure of my life!!! I am beginning to prepare for my kiwi adventure!!! The amount of time and work that goes into preparing to go abroad is incredible. I have thought, rethought, changed and changed again ideas and preparations for New Zealand. I did not expect to have this much trouble simply picking out what I want to bring, the quantity of what to bring, and the reasons to not bring other things. It is really a full-time job and my mind is constantly moving from one idea to the next.
That being said, I cannot yet fully place my mind on New Zealand because I have this incredible class here in Fishers that still needs my attention. Saying goodbye to Mrs. E and my little first graders is going to be so difficult. I have grown so much as an educator in the last eight weeks, and I owe it all to my kiddos and Mrs. E. I think this Fishers experience will easily hold my favorite memories in years to come.
As I start to finish this phase of my student teaching and began the move to the next phase of my life, I am becoming so excited for what New Zealand will hold for me. This experience is once in a lifetime and I can't believe I am two weeks from realizing this goal and dream. I am thrilled to begin this journey, if not slightly terrified, and can't wait to share all of my adventures with each of you! I can officially say....
LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN!!!!!
